Metal Processing

Wire discharge is a processing method that uses a wire as an electrode to cut an object by the heat of electrical discharge. The wire used for the electrode is mainly brass, tungsten, molybdenum, or other materials that easily conduct electricity. Since the wire can be cut accurately regardless of hardness, it is generally used for processing two-dimensional shapes such as press molds and precision parts.
Note that it is not applicable to the non-current-carrying materials.
