Jig (EN)

The term “Jig" is an adaptation of the English word “Jig," which means something hold a workpiece in place and manipulates the tool according to a guide.
It is generally used in the sense of fixing a workpiece and assisting in processing (work).
The merits of using jigs include "labor saving and cost reduction," "productivity improvement," "reduction of human error," and "automation.
There are several kinds of jigs which are cutting and bending jigs used during parts processing, assembly jigs used during assembly, and inspection and measurement jigs used during inspection.
