DIE - SINKING DISCHARGE (EN)

Die-sinking discharge machining is a method of creating an electrode of the desired shape, applying voltage between the electrode and the object, and creating sparks through electrical discharge to transfer the shape accurately.
Electrodes are made of materials which is easily conduct electricity, such as copper and graphite (graphite or black ink).
In general, the method can handle complex shapes regardless of hardness, so it is used for processing uneven shapes (3-dimensional shapes) such as resin molds.
Note that it is not applicable to the non-current-carrying materials.
