Cylindrical grinding

Cylindrical grinding is a method of machining the outer diameter or step of an object using a grinding wheel. Also, it is used when the parallelism, cylindricity, or roundness of a shaft, pin, etc. is required.
It is generally used for machining round objects. To perform machining, the object is fixed at the centers at both ends, and the object is rotated with a Kerrey. By controlling the center and center hole, it is possible to machine cylindricity and roundness with an accuracy of several microns.
By changing the grinding wheel, it is possible to process not only iron but also aluminum, stainless steel, cemented carbide, and ceramics.
